So you’ve clicked on this link and after the bomb-shell of reading that, I should explain who I am and what I’m doing really.
I have been a member of Brum Radio’s team since winter 2015, starting off with a specialist drum & bass show on Thursday nights. After finding and solidifying my feet there, an energetic and delightful Miranda Burns popped into my life and we decided to create Footloose & Fancyfree - a daytime show shining a (sparkly) spotlight on the city and bringing you the best music coverage & entertainment independent local radio can buy.
Back in the Spring of this year, I agreed to do the unthinkable; not wing a radio show, but jump 15,000 feet out of a plane with some flimsy fabric and a person strapped on my back.
In the time since then, we’ve had Zoe from Focus Birmingham, the charity which rationalised it to me, and we’ve been able to talk to her about the work which they do daily that changes peoples’ lives for the better.
We’ve had a brilliant response to this upcoming event; I mean my girlfriend won’t discuss it but my mum and my sister too will be taking part alongside me; we figured if one of us is doing something fairly ridiculous, why not make it a family affair?
So let’s get down to the nitty gritty; I’m halfway to my target, I’m about three weeks away from actually doing this. Imagine my grumpy face really close to the edge of an aeroplane because you made me do it; I reckon this should be enough motivation for my close mates who really are sick of me succeeding and feeling great about it. Go on, I’ll be absolutely petrified.
Here are a few things I would absolutely love if you could do.
Drop a couple quid on my secure page linked here with a funny message
Help me out as I’m looking for a go-pro camera to record the whole thing; we all know we wanna see some reaction-cam faces up there in the sky

(P.S. can you imagine if this is the last thing you ever read from me? How amazing would that be.)
